Enterprise Holdings “drives” in over $97,600 for United Way

Enterprise Holdings drove a huge increase in its United Way fundraising campaign this year, raising over $97,000. Enterprise Holdings is the parent company of Enterprise, National and Alamo car rental companies.

Employee gifts increased nearly $15,000 over the previous year, reaching a total that surpasses $65,000. The corporation’s matching program of 50 cents on the dollar raised the grand total to over $97,600.

“We used several ideas to spread the word about donating,” said Kristy Marter, who served as the United Way Campaign Coordinator at Enterprise Holdings. “We held a kickoff campaign in Nashville with our state managers.”

The kickoff included a United Way spokesperson and a catered lunch for its 350 regional employees, many of them working different shifts. United Way staff visited Enterprise Holdings offices and talked with employees about how their gifts make a difference for people’s lives across the community.

Marter added that Enterprise uses its own measure for recognizing Leadership Giving. “We track our Leadership Givers using a higher total,” she said. “Once they give $1,040 in one year’s time, we count it as Leadership Giving!”

United Way thanks all Enterprise Holdings employees for such a great campaign for our common good.
