Youth United Way “shoebox Christmas” a big hit at Binghampton Christian Academy

ShoeboxChristmas2013AYouth United Way Director Clint Anderson reports that late last week, current and former Youth United Way program members delivered wrapped gifts to Binghampton Christian Academy.

Youth United Way“Everyone who donated toys and wrapped a shoebox should feel good for the blessings they helped give to these children. They were very shocked and very appreciative,” Anderson said.

The Shoebox Christmas initiative is a holiday tradition with the Youth United Way leadership program. Teens in the program give of their time and resources to provide gifts, and wrap and deliver the presents in shoeboxes. The gifts are distributed to a chosen school right before the Christmas holiday.
